The Shipment Of North American PCB Orders In April Was Higher Than That In April

Total PCB shipments in North America in April 2017 fell by 6.0% compared with the same period in 2016.Shipments so far this year are down from 4.5% a year ago.Shipments rose 10.8% in April from a month earlier.

In April 2017, PCB orders in North America increased by 4.3% compared with the same period last year.Year-to-date orders are flat from a year ago.Orders were up 17.0% from last month.
"PCB sales were still sluggish in April, and a rebound in orders pushed the ratio of orders to shipments to its highest level in 20 months," said Sharon Starr, IPC's director of market research.Although the sales volume is not good, the order delivery ratio is in a positive range for three consecutive months, which is a positive sign for the sales strength in the next three to six months.
