The Output Of Japanese PCB Declined For 11 Months And The Soft Board Decreased By Nearly 30%

According to the Japan Electronics Packaging Circuits Association;JPCA's latest statistics show that in October 2016 Japan printed circuit boards (PCB);The output of hard board + soft board + module base board) decreased by 3.2% from the same month last year to 1.293 million square meters, showing a decline for the 11th consecutive month.Output fell 18.3 percent to 38.97 billion yen, the 11th consecutive monthly decline.

In terms of types, the production of Rigid PCB in Japan increased by 1.8 percent to 877,000 square meters in October compared with the same month last year, showing an increase for the third consecutive month.Output fell 5.0 percent to 25.254 billion yen, the 15th straight month of declines.

Output of Flexible PCB declined 13.1% to 364,000 square meters, showing a decline for the seventh consecutive month.Output plunged nearly 30 percent (down 26.8 percent) to 60.95 million yen, the 11th straight month of declines.

The production of Module Substrates dropped 3.1% to 62,000 square meters, showing a decline for the first time in three months.Output plunged 40.5 percent to 7.621 billion yen, shrinking for the seventh straight month.

During the period from January to October 2016, Japan's PCB output dropped 5.9% to 1165.0 million square meters and output decreased 11.3% to 384.773 billion yen compared with the same period last year.

Hardboard production fell 4.9% to 8.39 million square meters and output fell 8.0% to 247.676 billion yen.The yield of soft board fell 9.5 per cent to 3.043 million square meters and the yield fell 21.0 per cent to 4.84 billion yen.Output of modular substrates fell 0.2 percent to 57.0 million square meters and output fell 14.0 percent to 88.688 billion yen.
