North America's PCB Industry Grew In May

North American PCB orders and shipments grew strongly in May, the report said.

The order delivery ratio was further increased to 1.09.

Total north American PCB shipments in May 2018 increased by 11.7% compared with the same period last year.

Shipments so far this year are up 10.0% from a year ago.

Shipments rose 1.9 percent in May from a month earlier.

In May 2018, PCB orders increased by 21.2 percent compared with the same period last year.

Year-to-date orders are up 14.4% from last year.

Orders rose 6.3% in May from a month earlier.

Sharon IPC market research director ms Starr said: "in North America in May of the PCB industry and returned to growth, sales growth was the ninth straight month in the positive range, and is the fastest growth in seven years.

Orders have been strong for the past 12 months, with the ratio of orders to shipments remaining above the equilibrium point for 16 consecutive months.

This is a positive sign for the industry's prospects this year.“
