Multilayer circuit boards are recommended for high speed PCB design.First of all, the multilayer circuit board distributes the inner layer specially for power supply and ground, therefore, it has the following advantages:
· the power supply is very stable;
· significantly reduced circuit impedance;
· significantly shortened wiring length.
In addition, from the perspective of cost, although the cost of multi-layer circuit board is higher than that of single-layer circuit board when the cost of the same area is compared, the cost difference between multi-layer circuit board and single-layer circuit board is not as high as expected when other factors such as the miniaturization of circuit board and the convenience of noise reduction are taken into account.When calculating the area cost of the circuit board purely based on the data we know, the area of the double-layer circuit board can be purchased for about 462mm2 per yen, and the area of the four-layer circuit board is about 26mm2, that is to say, the same circuit is designed. If the area of the four-layer circuit board can be reduced to 1/2 of the double-layer board, then the cost will be the same as the double-layer board.Although the number of multiple layers will affect the cost per unit area of the circuit board, there is no price difference of 4 times. If the price difference is more than 4 times, you can only try to reduce the area of the board to less than 1/4 of the double-layer board.
