When you buy the PCB rapid manufacturing machine, naturally want to make a PCB to see its powerful function immediately, but please do not worry, and please carefully read the instructions and this column operation introduction before starting, you will soon become familiar with the operation and will be deeply attracted by its charm.

Please check whether your accessories are complete: instruction manual, fastening tool, DK engraving driver CD, cutter, drill bit, extension cord of serial port, power cord, a small amount of copper plate, spindle motor carbon brush.

Put the machine on the working platform, take out the extension cord of serial port (DB9 cable), connect the communication interface on the right side of the case to the computer COM1 port, and connect the power cord.

3 please confirm that your computer operating system is win98/2000/XP, with a minimum memory configuration of 256M, open the computer and put in the DK engraving driver CD to run the corresponding setup.exe file.Open one of PROTEL's PCB files and import DK.

4 according to the circuit board design and select the appropriate cutting tools, and DK interface parameters of cutting tool choice, advised to choose a slightly smaller than PROTEL PCB files in the design of safe distance (such as choose 0.38 mm tool, cutting tool parameters appropriate to choose 0.36 mm), must see if there are any after open the file due to cutting tool selection error of PCB line adhesion, until it is correct.Set the "plate thickness" parameter for DK operation according to the thickness of the circuit board. This operation provides accurate data for drilling and edge cutting.

5. As the operating system will work slightly below the bottom of the circuit board when performing edge cutting and drilling, to protect the tool, drill and machine working platform, the working platform shall be equipped with a copper plate equivalent to or slightly larger than the circuit board to be made, and then place the copper plate to be made.Note that it is better to place the copper plates with thin double-sided adhesive. When pasting the copper plates, the adhesive surface shall be free of particulate matter.It is suggested to use the original polished copper plate provided by our company.When installing copper plate, remember to install the knife point on the spindle motor, necessary fashion good copper plate, reinstall the knife point for safety.

6. The copper plate and cutter are properly installed. Move the spindle and working platform without turning on the main power supply of the machine so that the tool tip is near the lower right corner of the copper plate.Adjust the position of X and Y axis, and then adjust the height of Z axis so that the tip is close to the copper plate, roughly adjust the Z+1mm key to the visual distance close to the copper plate, put a piece of waste paper (white paper torn by double-sided adhesive tape is recommended) on the circuit board, and gradually adjust the position by Z+0.1mm, and finally adjust the height by Z+0.1mm until the tip is just pressed.

Close the machine door, press the on - line key to turn the on - line light green and turn on the main shaft power.If the PCB file cutter and plate thickness parameters have been set, you can press the try carving key and the tool head starts to move. You can carve a rectangle on the largest area of the circuit board designed to observe whether the carving depth meets the requirements. If it is too deep or too shallow, press the online key first to make it into offline state.Press the z-axis adjustment button to adjust the height, then press the online key to make it online, and then press the trial carving, until the carving depth meets the requirements, press the engraving key.After completion of carving spindle continue to spin, but stopped in circuit boards at the bottom right does not move, trimming key at this time, the machine start cutting shape according to your design, after completing the process of cutting, shut down the main shaft power, do not shut off the main power supply, then press online make online lights turn red, press the Z axis to adjust the Z axis, take a sharp knife, bit change, adjust the Z axis bit pressure paper, press online make online lights turn green, close door, open the main power supply, press drilling began drilling, all operations are finished, please close the main power supply and main shaft power.

8 skills and precautions:

8.1 form good habits and make sure that the spindle power is off before turning on the main power.When turning off the main power, turn off the main shaft power.

2. Install the cutter and drill to tighten the fixed screw.

8.3 the online light green refers to the online state of computer and machine, and red to the offline state. The moving buttons of X, Y and Z axes are not controlled under the online state and are not failures.

8.4 in the working state, if the cutter head is too deep or too shallow, you can press the online key to make the online light turn red. The spindle will continue to rotate but not move. At this point, you can adjust the height of the spindle and continue online work.

8.5 when the power is turned on, all lights in the entire control panel flash. This is because the machine has not been reset successfully. Please turn off the main power and spindle power, and turn on after one or two seconds.If the main power is suddenly turned off and then turned on during the working process, the machine is not fully reset, which will lead to the random operation of the machine. Do not try.

8.6 "non-pcb file" is indicated when opening the file, which is compatible with PROTEL ASIC2.8 file format. If your drawing software cannot output this format, please import the file you designed in PROTEL99 and export the file format after conversion.

8.7 "no KEEPOUT LAYER" is suggested when the file is opened. This machine takes the no-layout LAYER as the outer border of the circuit board. The PCB file you designed must draw a border line in the KEEPOUT LAYER.

8.8 displays "beyond the engraving scope", there are elements or lines outside or close to the KEEPOUT LAYER, please modify the circuit diagram.

8. Press the function button, the machine is not responsive, please check whether the serial port line is connected correctly: check whether the online light is green.
